This policy explains what data HeyDaniel collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum and never sell your personal information. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we collect

• Your email address, only when you submit it to join early access or share it in the chat. We use it to contact you about access to HeyDaniel and related updates.
• A random anonymous identifier stored in your browser, used to keep a chat conversation coherent. It contains no personal information.
• Analytics data, collected via Microsoft Clarity, only if you accept cookies (see below). This helps us understand how the site is used.

Cookies and analytics

Strictly necessary storage (such as the anonymous chat identifier) is always present, as it is required for the site to function. We load Microsoft Clarity, a product-analytics tool, only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies or scripts are loaded.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser, which makes the consent banner appear again on your next visit.

How we use your data

• To send you early-access invitations and product updates.
• To operate and improve the chat experience.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the site (analytics, with consent).

We do not sell your data or share it for third-party advertising.

Third parties

• Microsoft Clarity — analytics, loaded only with your consent. See Microsoft's privacy documentation for how they process data.

Data retention

We keep your email for as long as you are on the early-access list or until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained according to Microsoft Clarity's standard retention period.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• request correction or deletion of your data;
• withdraw consent for analytics at any time;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• request a copy of your data (portability).
